Nature Pauses is located in Northern Lower Michigan, and has been in business since 1999. It is owned and operated by Mary and Dave Fournier. Mary has been carving and painting birds and animals for the last
20 years. Dave has been a carpenter for over 40 years doing rough and finish work.
Here at Nature Pauses we create unique, one-of-a-kind functional, hierloom quality art in the form of home furnishings in a
timeless rustic style. Each piece is hand-carved by Mary, depicting wildlife and plants. High and low relief carving are then enhanced by Mary using acrylic paints
to give them a truly 3-d effect, then sealed according to specifications. All mirrors are 1/4 of an inch thick.
Nature pauses will, in addition to creating original pieces, customize work on material provided by you. As in Mantels, doors, bar-top, or piece of furniture you wish to have personalized.
